Annabel has now relocated to Adelaide in Australia and is looking to restart her practice again in the near future once she has completed her acupuncture registration. She is now working as a Hypnobirthing Instructor in conjunction with The Little Birth Company.
In the UK, Annabel enjoyed practicing an integrated style of acupuncture, combining the two schools of acupuncture, Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The two disciplines have given Annabel a unique perspective as a health professional.
Annabel was first drawn to acupuncture after being involved in a cycling accident. She not only felt better physically but felt better within herself, had more energy, slept better and coped much better with stress. The experience inspired her to learn more about this ancient practice of medicine and embark on a career as an acupuncturist.
Annabel supported patients with a wide range of conditions tailoring her treatments to each individual. However rather than simply treating your outward signs and symptoms, Annabel aims to find and treat the root cause of your problem in order to alleviate present condition(s), which often means acupuncture will have a long term effect. Annabel has a genuine desire to care for others and her warm character assists her in helping people get well and feel good.
Annabel also has a special interest in fertility, gynaecology and obstetrics, and actively undertakes specialist training. She has completed a Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and is an associate of The Women's Natural Health Practice. She was also part of The London Acupuncture Childbirth Team (ACT) when working in the UK. Annabel has also completed a Diploma in Tui Na (Chinese energetic massage).
Annabel is a graduate of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine and was a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) throughout her time practicing in the UK. Membership of the BAcC guarantees excellence in training, safe practice and professional conduct.
